By accessing or using Canuckt Shield ("Shield", "the Service") at shield.canuckt.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Canuckt Shield is a data privacy and anonymization platform that detects and anonymizes personal information in text and documents, provides an AI Privacy Proxy for safe use of AI tools on sensitive data, generates PIPEDA compliance reports, and offers a REST API for programmatic access.
Free Tier: 100 anonymization jobs per month, 5 AI proxy sessions per month, text paste only, English only, no account required.
Pro Tier ($79 CAD/month or $790 CAD/year): Unlimited jobs and AI proxy sessions, document upload, English and French Canadian, full PIPEDA reports, 10,000 API calls per month.
Agency Tier ($199 CAD/month or $1,990 CAD/year): Everything in Pro plus industry modules, team accounts up to 10, white-label reports, 50,000 API calls, priority support.
You agree to use Shield only for lawful purposes. You must not submit illegal content, use the Service to facilitate fraud, attempt to reverse-engineer the algorithms, use automated tools to exceed rate limits, or resell access without agreement.
Your text is processed in memory and discarded immediately. We never store your input text. AI Privacy Proxy token mappings auto-expire from encrypted memory after 30 minutes. No automated system achieves 100% detection accuracy. You are responsible for reviewing output before sharing. Shield assists your privacy compliance but does not replace professional judgment.
Subscriptions billed monthly or annually via Stripe in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes. Cancel any time through Stripe Customer Portal, effective at end of billing period. Annual plans billed upfront with 30-day prorated refund policy.
API keys are confidential. You are responsible for keeping them secure. Do not embed keys in client-side code or public repositories. Calls exceeding your tier limit are charged at the overage rate. We may throttle or suspend access for abusive usage.
The Canuckt Shield software, Canadian Entity Library, PIPEDA Mapping Engine, algorithms, and documentation are the intellectual property of Canuckt Synergy Solutions Inc. You retain all rights to the text and documents you submit. We claim no ownership of your content and do not store it.
Shield is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Canuckt Synergy Solutions Inc. shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Canuckt Synergy Solutions Inc. from any claims arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any applicable law.
Your use of Shield is governed by our Privacy Policy at shield.canuckt.ai/privacy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive usage, or fail to pay subscription fees.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nova Scotia and the federal laws of Canada. Disputes resolved in the courts of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
